1. ELAFONISSI BEACH, CRETE

The unique Elafonisi beach, famous for its unusual pink sand, is located in the southwestern part of Crete, about 75 km from the city of Chania.

Why Elafonisi has a pink sand? These are the smallest remnants of shells, ground by the sea to the size of a grain of sand.

The sea on Elafonisi beach is very warm and almost always calm, you can swim here even when a storm is raging on the rest of Crete's beaches.

According to many tourists, this is one of the best beaches in Greece and in the whole world.

2. PORTO TIMONI, CORFU

Porto Timoni is a double bay with turquoise water connected to the island by a narrow stretch of land. The water is crystal clear and the beaches are covered with pebbles. One feature is that each beach has a different temperature, so you can choose which of the two you will do your dive.

3. RED BEACH, SANTORINI

In addition to white houses and amazing sunsets, Santorini has an unusual beach with exotic rocks and red sand on which you can feel like on Mars. The landscape was formed by volcanic lava that covered the island many centuries ago, and on this beach not only rocks, but even the sand is painted red.

4. WHITE ROCKS BEACH, KEFALONIA

The white sandy beach surrounded by white cliffs creates a unique and private atmosphere. The beach attracts by the fact that you can only get there by canoe or boat, and therefore the beach is often deserted.

The water is so clear and the beach so white it’s like a paradise. Snorkeling is great too.

5. BALOS BEACH, CRETE

"The confluence of the three seas" in Crete - this is the name under which the western tip of the island is known. The area is a miniature sandy island and is famous for its unique natural beauty. The Balos Lagoon is covered not by white, but by pink sand, and the sea here shimmers with all sorts of shades of blue and green.
